New Applications for this year
Learning applications (dyslexia etc.) close on Friday 30 September.
You may continue to submit applications under the Sensory/Medical/Physical categories, but from 3 October you must confirm that a Derived Grade is not appropriate AND that the Exam Centre Manager (ECM) can accommodate the student’s needs for rooming and supervisors. Before submitting, a pop up will appear and you will need to confirm that you have taken the steps listed before you can submit.
Computer Only notification deadline
The deadline for submitting Computer Only notifications is 3 October 2022.
Attaching SAC entitlements to exam sessions
Please continue to attach SAC entitlements to exam sessions.
If you cannot confirm with students which SAC entitlements are required, please attach your best guess. It is possible to edit these later.
For exam planning purposes, it is better to add entitlements now and then later remove these via an edit rather than to add new entitlements later.
A short video explaining this process can be found here (MP4, 37MB) and the guide can be found here (PDF, 233KB).
If you would like advice and guidance in any particular instances please contact NZQA’s SAC team (sac@nzqa.govt.nz) for advice.
New applications for 2023
Applications for 2023 open in all categories on 1 October.
Select 2023 from the Academic Year dropdown before submitting
Upcoming SAC seminars
Seminars are a repeat of last year’s “SAC101” seminar so when you receive an email for one in your region please encourage those who have not been to a seminar before to attend, including LSCs and RTLB. Email sac@nzqa.govt.nz for enquiries or offers to host for your region.
