I carved this poupou to represent the pouako and the tauira. The main figure is the pouako, the kōruru and the manaia represents ngā tauira. The pākati haehae represents the knowledge being transferred from the pouako to the tauira. The pūngāwerewere ritorito represents the beauty of whakairo. Anō nei he whare pūngāwerewere. |
