This unit standard is for people licensed to drive a Standardbred horse at a race meeting held under the New Zealand Rules of Harness Racing and Regulations.
People will be able to: identify suitable drives at harness race meetings and describe the horse''s form and the racetrack at which the horse is racing; prepare for the race; complete the preliminary and drive in the race; and attend to post race procedures.
