People credited with this unit standard are able to: describe one native freshwater and one native marine plant species used for kai; explain whakapapa for one native freshwater and one native marine plant species used for kai, in accordance with tikanga Maori, and explain tikanga Maori associated with the selection, harvesting and food preparation processes for one native freshwater and one native marine plant species.
