People credited with this unit standard are able to demonstrate knowledge of: the role of health and safety in forestry operations; general safety requirements in a forestry operation; emergency procedures and related requirements to be used in the event of a forest emergency; environmental issues in forestry; and personal safety in first line firefighting.
