This unit standard is intended for people employed in a landing operation, log yard or carrying out mensuration and inventory work.
People credited with this unit standard are able to: describe the principal methods used for scaling export and domestic logs; describe log scaling procedures; demonstrate knowledge of export and domestic log grades; and demonstrate knowledge of features of log scaling and log volume calculation.
