This unit standard is for people working in a seafood operation.
People credited with this unit standard are able to describe the processes used for, and the construction and care of, commercial surface long line fishing. They are also able to participate in the setting, hauling, catch retrieval, inspection and repair, of a surface long line on a commercial fishing vessel.
