People credited with this unit standard are able to: demonstrate knowledge of commercial forestry; identify and describe factors affecting the quality of a stand of plantation trees; demonstrate knowledge of the forest industry cycle and downstream processing of forestry products; explain job prescriptions for forestry operations; and demonstrate knowledge of quality in a forestry operation.
