People credited with this unit standard are, for private aircraft operations in accordance with Subject No 6, able to demonstrate knowledge of: fundamentals of air navigation; aeronautical maps and charts; mental dead or deduced reckoning; flight planning; and visual navigation procedures; and to use a circular slide rule to calculate computations.
