People credited with this unit standard are able to describe; the purpose and application of the HRNZ Rules and HRNZ Regulation''s and stakeholders to whom they apply; the criteria and procedures used in licensing a person under the HRNZ Rules and HRNZ Regulations; the requirements of trials horseman, junior driver, and horseman under the HRNZ Rules and HRNZ Regulations; the requirements and responsibilities of a licensed trainer and/or licensed person in charge of a horse on raceday under the HRNZ Rules; the HRNZ rules as they relate to the standardbred horse and ownership; and the offences and penalties that can be administered to a racing licence holder found guilty of an offence under the HRNZ Rules.
