People credited with this unit standard are able to: maintain instruments and equipment used in oral health care procedures in dental therapy and general dentistry; describe and apply infection prevention and control procedures in dental therapy and general dentistry; and describe disposal of waste materials resulting from dental therapy and general dentistry.
