People credited with this unit standard are able to: prepare soil surfaces; describe site suitability of selected turfgrass species and cultivar and compare the advantages and disadvantages of sowing turfgrass seed and laying turf; sow turfgrass seed or lay turf areas; monitor, and maintain newly laid or sown turf areas; and monitor and maintain established turf.
