This unit standard is intended for people who are working on a dairy farm.
People credited with this unit standard are able to: describe livestock senses and behaviour that influence handling in the farm dairy; handle livestock during their first experiences, and mixed aged livestock in the farm dairy following parturition; identify and treat damaged teats in dairy livestock; carry out milk harvesting; and identify livestock that are unevenly milked and take corrective action.
