People credited with this unit standard are able to: describe key components and functions of a milking plant; describe the purpose of cleaning chemicals, and clean the milking plant, and vat or silo; demonstrate knowledge of milk cooling systems; assist with the maintenance of a cluster; and isolate milk unsuitable for collection.
