People credited with this unit standard are able to: demonstrate knowledge of hazards and safe work practices associated with benching bandsaws; prepare bandsaws for benching; calibrate and align bandsaw benching equipment and explain the main function of tools and equipment used for calibration and alignment; and level; tension; and back crown bandsaws.
