People credited with this unit standard are able to explain: the importance to Maori of one native marine fish and one native marine shellfish species, in a local context; the characteristics that help the native marine fish and the native marine shellfish species to survive in its environment; and the environmental relationships that the native marine fish and the native marine shellfish species develops within their own habitat.
