Strategic Purpose Statement |
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the mining industry with mine surveyors who are able to undertake and implement all aspects of preparing for and completing surveys and plans at a mine site.
Learners will benefit by having a qualification which recognises mine survey skills and knowledge, will enable improved job performance and provide a credential to enhance employment opportunities. The mining industry will benefit by having credentialed mine surveyors. This qualification is targeted at qualified surveyors. Graduates will be capable of working in an autonomous capacity. |

Graduate profile |
Graduates of this qualification will be able to:
- Apply in-depth technical knowledge of specialist survey techniques and the mining workplace to work as a mine surveyor. - Apply in-depth technical knowledge of mining methods and related geology to work as a mine surveyor. - Apply regulatory requirements, lead work teams, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders as necessary to complete surveys and submit plans at a mine site. |
