Strategic Purpose Statement |
The purpose of this qualification is to provide New Zealand with people who have the specialist practical and professional knowledge and skills to assist with the property law related needs of clients and employers, underpinned by the requirements of the Lawyers and Conveyancers Act 2006, and associated regulations and rules.
The qualification is for those interested in employment in property law and the transfer of property. Graduates will work under supervision of a Conveyancing Practitioner. |

Graduates of this qualification will be able to:
- Apply knowledge and understanding of the New Zealand legal system and the specialist areas of New Zealand law relevant to conveyancing, to carry out conveyancing transactions in New Zealand. - Apply knowledge of the practices and processes relevant to conveyancing, to carry out conveyancing transactions in New Zealand. - Apply effective communication skills and knowledge of the standards of professional conduct and duties in respect of clients, other practitioners and third parties to facilitate the property law related needs of clients and employers, in a competent and ethical manner. |

This qualification encompasses all Specifications for Diploma of Conveyancing within the Lawyers and Conveyancers Act (Conveyancers: Registration and Practice) Regulations 2008 schedule.
