The Graduate Diploma in Creative Entrepreneurship aims to develop students' knowledge and skills to innovate as practitioners in emerging creative industries. Their interdisciplinary (Art, Graphic Design; Fashion; and Interior Design), hands-on coursework will emphasize the conceptualization of innovative products and the structuring of innovation processes. They will explore the opportunities in being part of diverse teams which address multidisciplinary dimensions of complex challenges and produce breakthrough solutions.

The programme aims to enable graduates to navigate new markets, identify the diverse experts who will be able to skilfully collaborate with each other, and participate from concept to product.
Graduates will have the skills, knowledge and attributes to be entrepreneurs and contribute to the creative industries in Aotearoa New Zealand.

On successful completion of the Graduate Diploma in Creative Entrepreneurship programme, graduates will be able to:
1. Research and apply critical thinking, analytical rigour and intellectual independence to conceptualise, develop and refine ideas for the production of commercially-viable creative outputs.
2. Evaluate and develop business opportunities, systems and strategies for small business concepts, products or services within the creative sector.
3. Select, develop and implement marketing strategies and marketing materials and media to effectively communicate with target markets.
4. Integrate and utilise advanced technical and creative proficiency, creative technologies and knowledge of Aotearoa New Zealand art and design to produce commercially-viable creative outputs.
5. Independently manage projects for the production of significant creative works from initial concept to completion, including proposal development, creative production, exhibition and distribution.

Students may move onto further postgraduate study in the field of Creative Entrepreneurship at a higher level (Level 8).

To gain entry: Applicants must be 17 years of age or over. Applicants must be New Zealand citizens, permanent residents or have the requisite visa for study purposes. Students must be able to demonstrate adequate literacy and/or numeracy skills to enable them to meet all academic and health and safety requirements of the programme/course on which they enrol. A portfolio containing 10 pieces of work: Applicants are required to submit a portfolio when they apply for the programme. The portfolio will show applicants' creative ideas, originality, curiosity and imagination, and how they can use this within creative work. Domestic applicants must: *have completed an undergraduate degree in any creative technologies or related discipline; or *be able to demonstrate equivalent practical, professional or educational experience (a curriculum vitae must be submitted detailing relevant work experience and educational achievements) of:three years; or in exceptional circumstances, based on academic merit and/or relevant experience, students who do not have three years may be considered for admission subject to an interview with the Programme Area Lead, a prescribed programme of studies and approval by the Head of Department. International applicants must: *have completed an undergraduate degree in any creative technologies or related discipline; or *be able to demonstrate at least three years equivalent practical, professional or educational experience (a curriculum vitae must be submitted detailing relevant work experience and educational achievements). English Language: Applicants whose first language is not English must provide evidence of having achieved an IELTS (International English Language Test Score) of 6.0 with no band score lower than 5.5 in each academic category: reading, listening, writing and speaking.
