Graduates of this qualification will be able to:
- Apply knowledge of human nutrition across the lifespan to help prevent nutritional based health problems. - Apply scientific knowledge of the human body across the lifespan to help prevent lifestyle based health problems. - Apply current scientific knowledge of New Zealand health trends and risks to health to advocate for good nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices. - Provide culturally safe health advice to help people maintain physical wellbeing and help prevent lifestyle related disease. |

Education pathways |
Graduates will be able to undertake higher education in the areas of nutrition, health-related disciplines, health science, as well as complementary and natural medicine.
This qualification leads to the New Zealand Diploma in Nutrition (Level 6) [Ref: 3511]. |
