Strategic Purpose Statement |
The purpose of this qualification is to provide whānau, hapū and iwi with intermediate-advanced te reo speakers able to apply tikanga and use te reo Māori to maintain and convey a Māori worldview for everyday situations in the home and community.

Graduate profile |
Graduates of this qualification will be able to:
- Use a range of sentence structures, phrases, vocabulary and idiom at intermediate-advanced level as related to everyday whānau settings in the home and community. - Apply a variety of tikanga to express whanaungatanga and manaakitanga in the home and community. - Apply ūkaipōtanga and pūkengatanga by developing intermediate-advanced te reo that articulates knowledge of connections to whakapapa, landmarks and Māori institutions. - Role model kaitiakitanga and rangatiratanga by nurturing and supporting the revitalisation of te reo and tikanga Māori. |

Graduates will be prepared for further study of te reo and tikanga Māori at Level 5 at Te Wānanga o Raukawa.
Graduates may apply to enter the Heke Reo Māori at Te Wānanga o Raukawa. |
