Strategic Purpose Statement |
The overall purpose of this Micro-credential is to provide learners with applied learning opportunities to put into practice their knowledge, technical skills, and interpersonal skills to develop basic technology product solutions like web and mobile applications in a simulated work environment in the classroom.
Learners who complete this Micro-credential will have the skills required to develop basic technology product solutions. This Micro-credential is intended to provide learners with the skills that are most relevant and sought after in the gig economy. |

This Micro-credential is intended for learners interested in developing a technology product as an entrepreneur or for those interested in gaining employment as a contractor and/or freelancer.
By the end of this micro-credential, learners will be able to: 1. Analyse and select best fit solutions of existing and upcoming technologies in order to develop a technology product solution. 2. Apply broad technical knowledge to develop a technology product solution. 3. Apply security and technology product development best practices to deliver quality outcomes in the context of practice. 4. Apply personal development and portfolio deployment practices with the purpose of becoming a reflective learner. 5. Apply general collaboration skills to work as an effective team member. |

Entry Requirements |
Applicants must have the legal right to study in New Zealand. All applicants must be able to meet the NCEA literacy and numeracy requirements to an NCEA Level 1. All applicants must have a level of English sufficient to be able to study at this level. Mission Ready's policy MR007 English Language Requirements for Those for whom English is an Additional Language applies.
Applications will be reviewed by MRHQ to ensure applicants have the foundation skills required for success. Unsuccessful applicants will be referred to an appropriate alternative course or programme and invited to apply again once they have completed that course. |
