Strategic Purpose Statement |
Bachelor of Humanities graduates will be competent and confident in Te Ao Maori and as citizens of the world. They will have expertise in at least one core subject and have developed a broad based skill set in communication, critical thinking and research. Graduates will possess transferable skills valued in the workplace, in the community and for higher academic study. The Bachelor of Humanities builds on a graduate's prior education and is a key part of a graduate's lifelong learning.

The Bachelor of Humanities is a three year qualification which has 6 majors; Indigenous Studies, Policy, Indigenous Business, Multimedia Graphic Design, M?ori Arts & Visual Culture and Maori Studies. A major or double major is possible within the programme.
It is unique in that its philosophical base is about empowering Maori to claim and develop their cultural heritage and language an to broaden and enhance their knowledge base so as to be able to face with confidence and dignity the challenges of the future. It has two compulsory Te Reo and three compulsory Cultural History courses in the programme structure. |
