Strategic Purpose Statement
Graduates of this programme will have advanced understanding of the sport and recreation industry. Master of Sport and Recreation Management graduates will be able to create new knowledge, critically evaluate information and communicate effectively. They will have quantitative or qualitative analytic skills, or both, that will allow them to solve a range of both theoretical and practical problems. Content
The MSRM is a 180 credit by coursework degree spread over three academic semesters of fulltime study. Students are required to take a capstone course in Sport and Recreation Management, and a Methods course, then must take three specialist sport and recreation courses, and two courses with a management or policy orientation. The capstone course and the methods courses are both at Level 9. The core courses are offered during semesters one and two, but there are also course options offered offer summer. Therefore students are able to start during any semester, and options are provided for students who wish to complete the MSRM in 12 months through utilising the summer semester, or through three academic semesters over 18 months.

Credits
