Content
The Tāhuhu Whakaakoranga is a two year master's degree made up of three major categories of subject matter; iwi and hapū studies provides the contextual base within which the learning can occur. The whakaakoranga papers provide the content and te reo Māori is the language of instruction, the medium by which the learning is transmitted.
The second year of the programme will explore the facilitation of wāhi ako. The papers are based on the theme "Te Hautū". They focus on people issues, implementation of effective systems and operations of budgets. Students will then specialise in an area of "ako" of particular interest to them, by way of a research assignment. They will also complete the second year programme of Iwi and Hapū Studies.
