Graduates of this qualification will have more knowledge and skills to support and participate in the practice of tikanga under guided supervision.
Graduates of this qualification will be able to apply knowledge fundamental to tikanga practices across the community in general.

Graduates of this qualification will be able to:

- Use cultural concepts where tikanga is applied and practiced as an expression of mana ao tūroa;
- Use a range of reo in tikanga practices as an expression of mana reo
- Apply knowledge and understanding of a range of tikanga concepts as an expression of mana whenua
- Work collaboratively with others to carry out a range of tikanga practices and concepts as an expression of mana tangata.
- Context Outcome: To achieve Te Pōkaitahi Tikanga (Waka) (Level 3) graduates must be able to apply the skills and knowledge of te pōkaitahi tikanga in a waka context to meet the outcomes.

To achieve Te Pōkaitahi Tikanga (Rongoā) (Level 3) graduates must be able to apply the skills and knowledge of te pōkaitahi tikanga in a rongoā context to meet the outcomes.

To achieve Te Pōkaitahi Tikanga (Te Ara Nunumi) (Level 3) graduates must be able to apply the skills and knowledge of te pōkaitahi tikanga in a te ara nunumi context to meet the outcomes.

To achieve Te Pōkaitahi Tikanga (Mātauranga Māori) (Level 3) graduates must be able to apply the skills and knowledge of te pōkaitahi tikanga in a mātauranga māori context to meet the outcomes.
