Strategic Purpose Statement |
This qualification is for people with a sound knowledge of te reo and tikanga (plural) who wish to analyse cultural, linguistic, and value-driven concepts within a specified range of contexts.
Graduates will be able to demonstrate a broad understanding and knowledge of te reo and tikanga and able to lead and facilitate activities with cultural awareness, communication, and collaboration. |

Graduates of this qualification will be able to:
- Analyse and apply aspects of theoretical and practical knowledge of te reo and tikanga to strengthen solutions-focussed strategies as an expression of mana ao tūroa. - Research appropriate sources of information to accrue and demonstrate a range of oral, written communication and practical skills appropriate to a field of work or study as an expression of mana reo. - Explore and explain how te reo and tikanga informs personal and environmental connectedness as an expression of mana whenua. - Analyse a range of Māori leadership attributes and principles that explore appropriate reo and tikanga solutions in familiar and unfamiliar contexts as an expression of mana tangata. |
