Strategic Purpose Statement
The Graduate Diploma in Marketing is designed to provide graduates who have an undergraduate degree in another discipline with an in-depth study of the marketing discipline. It aims to transform learners into business success and customer focused practitioners. It will also provide the prerequisite knowledge and foundations for post graduate study.

Graduates of the Graduate Diploma in Marketing will
* understand a variety of marketing dimensions such as goods and services marketing, domestic and international marketing, consumer and business-to-business marketing
* have an in-depth focus on the marketing communications component of marketing and implement communication strategies using both traditional and digital media
* examine the role of contemporary topics and issues in marketing and their implications such as customer experience, e-commerce, disintermediation, service-dominant logic, big data and marketing automation
* prepare proposals and undertake marketing research to assist marketing decision making
* contribute towards operational and strategic marketing planning
* apply marketing concepts to address marketing problems and create value for the organisation and its stakeholders.

Completion of the Graduate Diploma in Marketing will provide students with pre-requisite knowledge to undertake post graduate study.

Credits

The credit value relates to the size of the qualification. One credit equates to ten hours of learning. One year's full-time study at a provider is usually 120 credits, but if you are studying part-time or in the work place the credit value may vary.
