People credited with this unit standard are able to: describe the global aquaculture production by key species groups and key countries; describe the aquaculture production in New Zealand; provide an overview of a New Zealand aquaculture species in relation to the global aquaculture industry; describe key elements in the sale and marketing of a New Zealand aquaculture species; and demonstrate knowledge of the organisations and legislation that impact on the farming of a selected species in the New Zealand aquaculture industry.
