People credited with this unit standard are able to: describe the general principles used in the aquaculture industry to minimise the effect on the environment; describe the effect aquaculture industry activities may have on the environment and best practices used to minimise the effect of these activities; describe the development and implementation of practices in the workplace to minimise the effect on the environment used in the aquaculture industry; and supervise aquaculture industry activities in the workplace to minimise the effect on the environment.
