This unit standard is intended for people in the automotive industry who are required to pre-assess a motor vehicle for compliance with Certificate of Fitness (CoF) requirements prior to the vehicle being inspected by a Waka Kotahi Land Transport New Zealand certified Vehicle Inspector; it does not permit the candidate to issue or influence the issue of a CoF.
People credited with this unit standard are able to determine CoF requirements of a motor vehicle and pre-assess a motor vehicle to determine compliance with CoF requirements.
