Courses currently undertaken for the accounting major in the B. App. Mgt. will form the basis for the courses for the GDPA.
The specific courses to be studied by students will depend depending upon their study programme in their original degree, together with courses identified as requiring completion to meet the professional accounting body requirements. It may be necessary for students to complete more than one year of study (120 credits) in order to meet pre-requisite requirements for the level 6 and/or level 7 courses and to fully meet the body of knowledge requirements of the professional accounting bodies. The Graduate Diploma in Accounting currently allows for no optional accounting or law courses at level 6 and no limits the range of choices at level 7 to two accounting courses and the Industry Project. The GDPA differs from this model by providing additional accounting and law options to meet the student's needs and the SLO requirements of the professional bodies. |
