Requirements for assessing against standards

Providers and transitional industry training organisations (transitional ITOs) must be granted consent to assess standards (accredited) by NZQA before they can offer assessment against standards. Once they have consent to assess, providers and ITOs assessing against standards are required by NZQA to carry out internal moderation and engage with the national external moderation system that applies to those standards.
