July 2018 – New (3) New Māori Music unit standards
Details are available in the July 2018 New Māori Music unit standards change report.
These new Level 5 assessment standards were developed by the Reo Māori Media Whakaruruhau to complement the existing suite of Reo Māori Media standards, and to reflect the outcomes of the New Zealand Diploma in Radio Broadcasting (Level 5) [Ref: 3210].
2017 – Review of New Māori Dance unit standard
Details are available in the September 2017 Review of New Māori Dance unit standard 22758 change report.
The New Māori Dance Whakaruruhau met in September 2016 to review the standards. This one standard was removed from the original application and further consultation with the New Māori Dance Whakaruruhau took place.
2016 – Review of Māori Performance and Māori Performing Arts Teaching unit standards
Details area available in the August 2016 Review of Māori Performing Arts unit standards change report.
In addressing issues identified during the review process, the Whakaruruhau recommended that one standard should be expired. The standard focussed too much on areas that were not necessary for compiling resource materials for teaching Māori Performing Arts, which was the main outcome for the standard.
